The staff were all so professional and friendly! Everything was done so efficiently and there was minimal waiting. Dr. Nathani was very nice yet straightforward and to the point. Dr. Nathaniel ruined my life and he basically ended my future. I now have to take it 360 and completely reconfigure after surgery went bad and after these are the results. Dr. Nathani was friendly and kind but the outcome of the surgery I would not recommend a friend or family member for a sprain or for a tear Im 27 and couldn’t bounce back.

I could not have been happier with my experience with Dr. Nathani. After a grade 3 separation of my shoulder I visited him and we discussed my options. He certainly did not push me towards surgery but instead gave me an honest opinion of what he would have done in my shoes (younger, play sports, my dominant arm). His bedside manner is cordial and even more remarkable is that he is always on time if not early. The surgery was excellent with minimal scarring and after only three months post surgery I have full mobility and close to full strength. Do not hesitate going forward with Dr Nathani - he is excellent.

Before coming here I had really bad experience with GP that basically did nothing left me in pain for a week. This office is amazing. Very caring staff from front desk to Dr. The Dr was great. Listened and left me confident he could help me. I highly recommend this group.

Efficient but still get treated well. Left with all questions answered, and a correct diagnosis and treatment plan. One month after initial visit and a shot of cortisone in my shoulder, all pain is gone. Thank you Dr. Nathani and team!

The confidence Dr. Nathani had during my initial consultation was so reassuring I just knew he was the right Surgeon for me. Right before the surgery he told me this is just another day in the office, signed my arm, threw away the pen and not even two weeks later I have full motion in my arm and now five weeks later I have already been informed to move forward with using bands and lifting weights and I can go back to work. Being a business owner and an extremely active person, this was music to my ears I never imagined this was going to be so easy. I have never had any sort of surgery so this being my first experience I am shocked how good this man was at his job. Bravo Dr. Nathani and his amazing team. I’ll see you in two months for my final exam.

My name is Joe. I'm 63 years old. Not to say the least I've seen my share of orthopedic doctors over the years. I met Dr. Amit Nathani about 3 months ago after having an M.R.I. that showed significant damage to my right shoulder. After meeting with him he discussed options with me. He suggested trying to treat it by reducing the inflammation. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. A doctor who didn't want to do surgery as a first option. He gave me a cortisone shot thinking that by reducing the inflammation the pain I was experiencing might be resolved. Keep in mind I have a partial tear of the rotator cuff. As of today I am pain free in my right shoulder. I am athletic and work out hard. It worked so well he did the same to my left shoulder . Truthfully I worked out pain free today for the first time in quite a number of years . More than likely at some point I'll need surgery. Because of Dr. Nathani's expertise, knowledge and honesty he's my go to orthopedic doctor no if ands or buts. They say first impressions are the most important ! I have full confidence and trust in Dr

I was happy to find Dr. Nathani due to how I wasn't ignored due to how young I was. My problems were listened to while other places listed it off as growing pains. It most likely thanks to him that my problem did not escalate more. Thank you!

Dr. Nathani performed my Achilles repair surgery around 3.5 months ago after I fully ruptured my Achilles tendon playing soccer. Overall, I've had an extremely positive experience. I'm super grateful that my friends referred me to him/Alta Orthopaedics.
YMMV depending on various factors, but throughout the recovery process, I've had minimal/no pain, and my recovery has been relatively swift thanks to (a) the doctor's surgery itself, and (b) advice/recommendations from him during follow-up visits. [(c) I've also been doing weekly physical therapy at Alta with David Salas]
At every appointment, Dr. Nathani has been positive and encouraging, and I've felt optimistic and empowered while going through this long recovery process. (When I first got injured, I had been feeling down since I knew it would be a long road to recovery). Also, he's been prompt with replying to my messages via their patient portal whenever I've had any concerns or questions (big or small).
Lastly, since my surgery, I've met a dozen or so folks who have recovered from this same injury, and most have remarked on how quickly I've been able to recover with little to no pain compared to their recovery timelines and pain levels. Again, a huge testament to Dr. Nathani's efforts!

Well Dr. Nathani is a very experienced doctor. But the office itself needs a better phone system. Because you could call and no one ever answers the phones it takes hours. They have all these girls sitting around the receptionist area doing nothing on their personnel cell texting But only 2 person working in the call center. Receptionist said, it a 6 person job. But they don’t t have the staff.

I very much appreciate Dr. Nathan’s engaging nature. He is surely always busy with more scheduled visits and cases than there are hours in the day. But it is not obvious as his attention and focus has been in the exam room at each of my visits.

Dr. Nathani is one of the warmest, most knowledgeable pros in the business. My PT recommended him for a second opinion and I just can't imagine a better experience. And it doesn't hurt that he also used to be the team doctor for my beloved 49ers! 🏈

Since posting the above, I've had another 2-3 visits and knee surgery. Nothing has changed about my review. He continues to have my complete respect and admiration for the outstanding work he does in tandem with a unsurpassable bedside manner. My knee felt better and stronger than it has in almost 3 years, and his surgery was to repair another surgeon's work that didn't heal the way we'd hoped. I was walking on that knee a few hours after Dr. Nathani's surgery.
While I do hope I won't have to see him again for many years, Dr. Nathani will be my first call for any and all orthopedic issues. I hope he'll remain practicing in Santa Barbara for decades to come. 🙏🏽

This place it’s great Drs when not rushed are amazing and really to the point .. always offering options to your case and situations.. one or 2 front desk Medical assistants when you check in a bit Rude and shout when not wearing a mask inside instead of offering one or reminding you .. also when they mess up on appointments and claim they call you you show up and took the day off work to go and they tell you your appointment it’s not at 10:45 it’s at 2:45 then instead of explaining this particular Medical assistant it’s mean pushy and plain not professional , other then that Drs and back office staff amazing drs M A great love this place ..

Dr Nathani treated my emergency situation with great care and worked with urgency to get my surgery scheduled under a tight deadline. Through his professional assurance he guided me through a traumatic injury and set my mind at ease. From careful diagnostic review and discussion that considered my lifestyle, he assured me the procedure he recommend I would come out better than I went in. I can't say enough about how great he dealt with my mental stress to assure me at every step of the process. And, oh ya, he's a great surgeon as well. Dr. Nathani is amazing. I had two surgeries for my shoulder. My last one with Dr. Nathani. I will tell you, my experience with Dr. Nathani was much different than my first. His genuine concern and compassion for his patients was experienced for sure. I truly felt he cared so much about me, my injury and my recovery. He also took the time to explain everything. I would recommend Dr. Nathani to anyone who is needing orthopedic treatment or surgery. He is the best!!!!

I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. After years of pain in my shoulder Dr. Nathani was able to relieve it with an outpatient surgery. He is very friendly, makes sure all your questions are answered, and is very attentive. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Nathani is by far one of the most talented and passionate physicians that you will ever meet. After I dislocated my shoulder during a mountain bike accident, I called the Spine and Orthopedic center of Oxnard to make an appointment with an orthopedic specialist to see when the next available appointment was. They had a slot open for later that afternoon. This was my first time going to Spine and Ortho, so I was not entirely sure what to expect from this clinic nor from the physician I was scheduled to see. Once I got to meet Dr. Nathani and we spoke about my injury and what my possible treatment options were, I knew I was at the right place. He answered all of my questions and concerns and I never felt rushed or uncared for. I continued to see him for a few months until I had made a full recovery. I am now just as physically capable as I was before my accident. Dr. Nathani is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and very passionate about his calling as a physician. Although he is an expert surgeon, he did not once push me into having any unnecessary surgery done nor did he suggest doing anything that would be of risk to my health for the sake of money. He truly cares about his patients' health and I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a qualified, highly-experienced Orthopedic specialist. 10 out of 5 stars for me.

Dr. Nathani is fantastic! I have never had a doctor spend as much time and care explaining what was wrong with my shoulder and how he planned to fix it. I immediately felt comfortable with him. Surgery was a success, and though my rehab was difficult, Dr. Nathani was there to guide me throughout my time in physical therapy and saw me at all my post-op appointments. Now, my shoulder is 100% and I'm back playing tennis and golf and pain free for the first time in years. I recommend him to everyone! Tremendous! Thank you!
